Savoyards Musical Theatre Ltd. will hold auditions for Trial by Jury, March 6 and 7.

Here are the times and locations:

• March 6, 6:00 to 7:00 PM: St Luke Church, 109 Oak Avenue, Collegetown
• March 7, 6:00 to 7:00 PM: Room 3320, Whalen Center, Ithaca College

The opera will be staged April 23-24 in the Moot Courtroom, Cornell Law School, and the Tompkins County Courthouse, Ithaca.

This special production honors both the 140th anniversary of Trial by Jury and the 130th anniversary of the Cornell Law School. Paired with scenes from Engaged, W.S. Gilbert’s 1878 farce on Victorian law and marriage, it deconstructs law and gender in one topsy-turvy entertainment.
