From First-Generation to the Front of the Room: Faculty and Student Discussion PanelContributed by Jessica LeMore on 03/21/16 Ithaca College continues to grow in its number of students who are first in their family to attend or complete college. Because first-generation students face unique challenges in their educational journeys, many find it hard to believe how many of their peers and faculty members were also first-generation college students. That is why it is more important now than ever to share your story and engage in the conversation! We are pleased to announce that we will be holding Ithaca College’s first-ever first-generation student, faculty, and staff panel on Thursday, March 31st from 12:00-1:00 pm in Taughannock Falls- Campus Center! If you would like to attend this event, please RSVP as soon as possible by emailing advisingcenter@ithaca.edu. Light snacks and refreshments will be served! All are welcome to attend!
