Greetings!  Please read the following ICC reminders and announcements.

♦ So that both faculty and students have a clear sense of when ICC course designations are effective, CCR has established deadlines for proposal submission. For ICC designations to be effective for Fall 2016 course offerings, proposals must be submitted to icc@ithaca.edu no later than April 1, 2016.  This deadline is the absolute latest that proposals will be considered by CCR for Fall designation and will enable CCR to provide faculty with a review response sufficiently in advance of the semester for planning purposes.  Please be aware that ICC courses are not retroactively designated.

♦ A current list of approved courses can be found on the ICC site, www.ithaca.edu/icc, and the advising center also maintains a grid of current Theme and Perspective offerings, https://www.ithaca.edu/advising/curriculum/iccworksheets/.

♦ Students can earn themes and perspectives credit or attribute designation while abroad. If you are advising students who are planning to study abroad please notify them about the study abroad petition,  https://www.ithaca.edu/icc/resourcestudents/studyabroad/.  The Academic Advising Center can provide assistance and advice to help students complete their petition.

♦ Starting this Fall semester Ithaca Seminars will no longer carry theme and perspective designation.  New students are still required to complete a 4-credit Ithaca Seminar and a total of 12 credits of perspective courses within their theme.

If you have any questions about the submission process or would like help with the proposal please contact Vincent DeTuri Director of the ICC at icc@ithaca.edu
