Do you have what it takes to become a Peer Tutor?  Apply before April 1, 2016!

  • Peer Tutors provide content-based support in specified areas of proficiency.
  • Peer Tutors address tutees’ presenting questions/concerns regarding course content and facilitate tutees’ development of course-specific learning strategies.
  • Peer Tutors support the development of tutees’ critical thinking skills related to course material.
  • Peer Tutors are academic coaches who encourage and motivate assigned tutees to achieve success. Peer Tutors are not responsible for tutee grades.
  • Peer Tutors are to schedule and facilitate ongoing tutoring sessions with tutees, maintaining a routine that is convenient for all.
  • Peer Tutors are required to develop their knowledge of Ithaca College student services and campus resources.
  • Peer Tutors must abide by all Tutoring Services and Ithaca College expectations and behavioral standards.

Applications are due by Friday, April 1st, 2016. 
No minimum GPA requirement; we hire the most competitive applicants. All majors welcome!

Applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.  Selected applicants will be invited to interview carousels in April.
