(The following message is being sent on behalf of Dr. Timothy Carey, Associate Vice President, Facilities)

I am writing to inform our students, faculty and staff members that the Facilities Department will complete a number of projects during the spring break period.  Our goal – as always – is to provide stellar service while minimizing inconvenience to the instructional program and our colleague campus community members; hence, our selection of this time period to execute the following projects: 

1.      School of Business/Job Hall Connecting Ramp - There will be no access to the ramp for a 2-3 day period, starting on Monday, 3/14/16 so that handrails can be installed and the concrete surface sealed.  Signage identifying alternate routes will be posted.
2.      Williams 3rd Floor- As a part of the recently completed floor replacement project, transition strips will be installed in doorways.  The work should have very little impact on building occupants.
3.      Emerson Hall –Relocation of ADA grab bars in nine (9) bathrooms will be completed.  Facilities and Residence Life have collaborated to notify the residents of the areas that will be impacted.
4.      Dillingham Fountain – Control work will be taking place in mechanical room – this is largely behind the scenes work that will not impact the campus community.
5.      Smiddy Hall 3rd Floor – Electrical outlets are being added to elevator lobby in the soft seating area to better-accommodate the student community.
6.      Towers Concourse Hallway – The hallway will be partially closed with limited access on Saturday, March 19th from 5:00am – 3:00pm for floor waxing.
