Soda is full of empty calories (calories from solid fats and/or added sugars) or artificial sweeteners.

If you’re looking for ways to ditch soda, try one of these instead:

  • Unsweetened teas- There are so many types of tea to try! You can really choose what will suit you best- flavored or unflavored, caffeinated or decaffeinated, hot or iced? It can become addicting to decide what kind of tea to buy next.

  • Seltzer water- A great alternative if you are no longer wanting the added sugar or sweetener that comes along with drinking soda, but you still want fizz. You can purchase seltzer water in the same aisle as soda, make your own at home, most restaurants can serve it as well! You can buy or add in flavors if you’d like, try adding just a splash of your favorite juice!

  • Coconut Water- Refreshing and the perfect drink if you want to pretend you’re on an island. Coconut water is offered by several different brands, just check the nutrition label to see which one is best for you or by buying a young green coconut. If looking for a calorie free option, this might not be the right choice. Each 8 ounce serving has roughly 45-60 calories.

  • Water- Drinking water alone is obviously great! But sometimes adding a little extra can help get more in each day. Infusing water has become really simple, try adding cucumber and mint, or fresh citrus for a different taste.
