Jonathan Ablard presented "Counterrevolution without Revolutionaries: Leftist Conspiracies in the Barracks and the Argentine Right, 1917-1922" to the Middle Atlantic Council on Latin American Studies Conference at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA on March 4, 2016.

The paper explores how conservative newspapers, the military hierarchy, and the police, created a myth that conscripts and non-commissioned officers, inspired by the Russian Revolution, were plotting to start a revolution in post-1917 Argentina.
