Reminder: Parking Lot Closures for Ed Tech Day (Closures Wednesday 3/23 and Thursday 3/24)Contributed by Andrew Kosinuk on 03/22/16 On Thursday, March 24th, the College will be holding its 26th Educational Technology Day. This exciting event attracts hundreds of visitors to our campus to explore new technologies and learn more about how technology can be used both in and out of the classroom. We are asking that students, staff, and faculty please be aware of the parking impact of Ed Tech Day on both the event date and the preceding Wednesday, as described below and first posted to Intercom on 3/20. In order to accommodate set-up, vendor vehicles, and guest parking, the U-Lot (Campus Center lot) and M-Lot (A&E Center lot) will be dedicated exclusively to this event for extended periods of time. U-Lot will be closed starting at 1 PM on Wednesday, March 23rd and will remain closed through the end of the business day on Thursday, March 24th. M-Lot will be closed for the entirety of the day on Thursday, March 24th. Additionally, while they will not be closed, the Z-Lot and the S-Lot Extension also will be utilized by event guests, so please anticipate reduced parking availability in those lots. We ask that you please plan on using alternative lots such as the Y-Lot during the times cited above. We also encourage those who can to take advantage of the TCAT system and ride the bus to campus on Thursday. Please be aware that individuals requiring handicapped parking spaces in any reserved lot can continue to access those spaces by speaking directly with lot attendants. Ed Tech Day is an important occasion for the campus and one of the largest public showcase events that we hold. The College benefits in many ways from this exposure, and we deeply appreciate your understanding and adjustment of your parking plans to help this event succeed. We also hope that you take advantage of this great free event! Please visit www.ithaca.edu/edtechday for the complete schedule and details. |
