Day AFTER Ed Tech Day Women in IT sessions for everyone - Friday, March 25Contributed by Rosane Mordt on 03/22/16 "Women in IT” is the subject, not the audience! Staff, students, and faculty are encouraged to attend! On Friday, March 25, 2016, the day AFTER Ed Tech Day, we will have 2 sessions with Katie Vale, Vice President for Information and Library Services and Librarian of Bates College, and Clare van den Blink, CIO, Pace University. These sessions are free and open to the public. No RSVP necessary. The Friday sessions are in addition to, and different in content from, Thursday’s Ed Tech Day featured sessions with the same speakers. Here are the times and topics for Friday: The sessions are geared towards group discussions, round table(s) format. Friday, March 25, 2016. 8:30-10:00 - Work/life balance issues (creating time for professional development, childcare, elder care, balancing school and work, etc.) 10:00 - Coffee break/mingling time 10:30-12:00 - Career issues (communication, finding mentors, grit, imposter syndrome, dealing with bias, etc.) "Women in IT" is the subject, not the audience. ALL are encouraged to attend!
