The Office of Human Resources would like to remind benefit eligible staff to review Paid Time Away Balances now to allow plenty of time to use vacation before the end of the fiscal year, May 31, 2016. To check your balances go to Parnassus: Self Service Time > Create Time Card and Click on "Show PTA Balances" The current policy allows an employee to have a maximum balance of 1.5 times their annual accrual at the beginning of the fiscal year, June 1st. This means you can roll over half your annual vacation accrual. Vacation is intended to provide time for rest and relaxation and therefore, employees cannot receive pay in lieu of taking vacation time. All vacation leave must be approved in advance by your supervisor. Personal Leave does not accumulate; therefore any hours remaining at the end of a fiscal year are forfeited. We are fortunate that Ithaca College recognizes the importance of taking time away from work. To review the full PTA policy please see below.
