Katharyn Howd Machan, Professor in the Department of Writing, won First Prize in the Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival National Poetry Competition.

Katharyn Howd Machan, Professor in the Department of Writing, won First Prize in the Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival National Poetry Competition with her poem titled “My Life as An Apple, a Pear."
