Dr. Stephen Tropiano, associate professor of screen studies and director of the Ithaca College Los Angeles Program, delivered a public lecture in March at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism on the University of Southern California campus.

Dr. Tropiano's lecture examined the evolution of LGBT characters on television from the 1950s through the present day. His lecture was based on his book, THE PRIME TIME CLOSET: A HISTORY OF GAYS AND LESBIANS ON TV, published in 2003 by Applause Books.
