Opportunity to meet with study abroad program representativesContributed by Rachel Gould on 04/10/16 Are you interested in learning more about some of Ithaca College's study abroad options, or discussing how you might collaborate with international colleagues? Representatives from two of our partner organizations (CEA Study Abroad and the University of Canterbury in New Zealand) will be on campus next week to share information about their program options and discuss opportunities for faculty involvement and collaboration. We have organized drop-in sessions for interested faculty, or can set up individual appointments if desired. CEA Study Abroad CEA Study Abroad is a leading national provider of study abroad programs. Their programs are currently considered non-affiliated. However, beginning in 2017-18, some of their program offerings will be added to our affiliated program list. They offer options for study in 12 different countries and 21 different cities. Semester and summer programs are available, including options for direct enrollment in a number of prestigious universities worldwide. Our Regional Representative Rebecca James will be visiting, accompanied by Tim Boubek, VP of University Relations and Dr. Jose Alvarez, Senior VP of Academic Affairs. University of Canterbury (Christchurch, New Zealand) Ithaca College has sent students for many years to study in Christchurch, New Zealand, at the University of Canterbury. Students attend the University of Canterbury on an affiliated basis, through current affiliate IES for 2016-17, and then directly through the University of Canterbury beginning in 2017-18. Anna Foster, Senior International Mobility Coordinator in the University's International Relations Office will be visiting. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the Office of International Programs at 274-3306 or intlprog@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
