The Peggy Ryan Williams Difficult Dialogues Sympoisum presents an art exhibition in the themes of rape and sexual assault, Monday April 18, Klingenstein Lounge--Drop in between 6-9pm.Contributed by Tiffani Ziemann on 04/12/16 Art from different disciplines will be showcased at the final event in the triennial Peggy R. Williams Difficult Dialogues Series, which will take place in an informal setting in Klingenstein Lounge, Campus Center, on Monday, April 18, open from from 6pm-9pm. Guests are encouraged to come and go as they like. The art forms, on the theme of campus rape and sexual assault, are sculpture, spoken word, short film, and photography. There will also be the opportunity to discuss the artworks and the theme in small group settings. The artists will be present, and cash awards will be presented to the artists whose work has been chosen. The symposium is named in honor of President Emerita Peggy Ryan Williams, who has been an advocate for dialogue about complex and controversial issues of the time and a staunch defender of academic freedom and active, open inquiry.
