Visiting scholar/performer of ethnomusicology Stefan Fiol will present a master class on raga theory, practice and the art of sitar Tuesday April 26th from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Ford Auditorium at the Whalen Center for Music.

Stefan Fiol is an Associate Professor of Musicology at the College Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati. At this master class participants will learn about the mechanics of raga (melody) in relation to tala (rhythm) in Hindustani or North Indian classical music. All are welcome to attend!
