New Director for Architecture and Infrastructure

I’m pleased announce that Casey Kendall will join our team as the Director for Architecture and Infrastructure starting on May 16, 2016.  Casey is a team-oriented, dedicated, and professional Information Technology leader with the background and experience in storage administration, virtual technology, system security, customer support, and infrastructure technologies who can help us navigate and resolve the issues we’re facing today as well as position us favorably for the future.  Casey has led and directed the activities and services provided through the functional areas such as the data center, network, server, telephone, monitoring, endpoint administration, storage and related software, system administration, database administration, identity management, enterprise and local applications, and development to include web, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and student information system (SIS).  Casey will be a welcomed addition to our DIIS leadership team. She has the right interpersonal skills to effectively lead and manage the Architecture and Infrastructure team.  We are fortunate to have her join our team and we will benefit from her knowledge, skills, and abilities gained from her formal education and practical experience at this critical time in our organization.

New Director for Teaching and Learning with Technology 

I am very happy to inform you that Dr. Mark L. Fink will join our team as the Director for Teaching and Learning with Technology starting on May 16, 2016.  Mark brings a wealth of experience collaborating with others in innovative and transformative ways which positively impact teaching, learning, and scholarship through effective use of learning technologies.  He has an enthusiasm and passion for helping others succeed. Mark is a staunch supporter and advocate for staff!  He is excited to get started in helping our team contribute significantly to advancing IC 20/20 by integrating learning technologies into the fabric of Ithaca’s multi-perspective approach.  We are fortunate to have him also bring his vast international and national relationships in learning technologies gained through organizations like the New Media Consortium (NMC.org).  I am confident Mark will seek a focus on student success and exemplary teaching.  We will benefit from his depth of knowledge and leadership experience.
