Dr. Gunes specializes in the fields of Agricultural Finance and Agro-food industry and has over 20 years of work experience, teaching and doing research with a focus on the public and private sector in Turkey. Since 2015, he has been working on his research as a visiting scholar in the School of Business at Ithaca College. His sabbatical leave is funded through an award by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK).

The School of Business is pleased to announce a lecture by Dr. Erdogan Gunes, Professor of Agricultural Economics-Ankara University, titled “Agricultural Credit System: A Case Study of Turkey”. His talk is scheduled for May 5, 2016 between 12:10-1:00 pm in Business 301, and focuses on results of his survey investigating the effects of agricultural credit usage on Turkish farmers’ behavior.
