Does the Finger Lakes Project (FLP) sound familiar? It should! It was offered at Ithaca College with external funding from the NSF and the HSBC in the Community Foundation from 2005-2013. As far as we know, the Finger Lakes Project is the only such specialized sustainability curriculum development workshop offered within New York State and perhaps even within the Northeast U.S.! You can find more info about prior workshops here. With permission from the IC faculty members who developed the program, Well's College's Center for Sustainability and the Environment is carrying forward this initiative to provide high quality trainings in Education for Sustainability (EfS) with the generous support of the Jephson Educational Trust. We hope you will join us! Early Bird workshop fee: $100 including all meals and workshop materials (rate good until June 24) The Finger Lakes Project workshop facilitation team: Karryn Olson-Ramanujan is principal educator for SEEDS Consulting (Strategy, Education, & Ecological Design for Sustainability), which offers transformative learning that enables clients to participate in the sustainability revolution. Chris Sperry, award winning teacher and Professional Development trainer, will lead trainings in integrating media literacy and critical thinking into the curriculum.
