Attendees of this conference learned about new research on how the scientific process can be improved. Additionally, we worked for three days to develop projects that could have immediate and concrete results.

Topics of the projects included

  • Improving scientific teaching and training
  • Identifying what journals and societies can do to encourage open science
  • Improving how hiring and promotion can take into account diverse contributions to science (e.g., publicly accessible data sets, teaching materials)
  • Exploring how replication and data sharing can become normal parts of psychology
