Farewell to Professor Joseph Cheng: This Friday 12:00-1:30pmContributed by Katy Hall on 07/12/16 It is with a great deal of bitter sweet feelings that the School of Business announces the departure of our longest serving colleague in the Department of Finance and International Business, Associate Professor Joseph Cheng. Joe is leaving Ithaca College to join the School of Business at Hong Kong Baptist University as the inaugural Director of the newly established Masters of Finance Program, effective August 2016. In recognition of his thirty three years of dedicated service to the Department of Finance and International Business, School of Business, and Ithaca College, a farewell reception is being held on Friday July 15 between 12:00 to 1:30 pm in the Park Center for Business and Sustainable Enterprise, Room 301. Please join us as we honor Joe’s contributions. You are also invited to leave a note to honor Dr. Cheng, here. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Katy Hall at khall2@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3347. Farewell to Professor Joseph Cheng Comment from

In his quiet, gentle and unassuming ways, Joe is a true example of a caring and committed faculty member to his students and colleagues alike. His contributions to the academic advancements of his department and the School of Business have been significant and enduring, and his loyalty to the mission of Ithaca College impeccable.

Joseph. I will especially miss his kindness, compassion and
strength. While I am sad that he is moving on, I am happy
for the new opportunities this brings for him and his
family.
