Dr. Chrystyna Dail in Theatre Arts Receives Award from American Theatre and Drama SocietyContributed by Catherine Weidner on 06/28/16 Dr. Chrystyna Dail's forthcoming publication Stage for Action: U.S. Social Activist Theatre in the 1940's received the ATDS Publication Subvention Award. Dr. Dail will be honored at the annual conference of ATHE (Association for Theatre in Higher Education) in Chicago in August. The American Theatre and Drama Society (ATDS) is dedicated to the study of United States theatre and drama, its varied histories, traditions, literatures, and performances within its cultural contexts. ATDS also encourages the evolving debate exploring national identities and experiences through research, pedagogy, and practice. ATDS recognizes that notions of America and the US encompass migrations of peoples and cultures that overlap and influence one another.
