The “It’s About You” Work/Life Advantage is designed to help you in the integration of work and life outside of your career by providing resources and programs within each work/life element – Family Care, Wellness, Flexibility, Community Service, and Individual Growth & Development. There is also a variety of community programs that may also help with the integration of work/life. One such program is Cornell Cooperative Extension. CCE is currently hosting a series of workshops designed for parents of children with food allergies, food intolerances or just plain picky. The workshops are led by Nancy Corwin Malina, MS, CNS, an experienced mother of two and Board Certified Nutrition specialist who shares nutrition and lifestyle advice. Classes include information about stress-reducing food and lifestyle changes, easy and delicious allergen-free recipes, cooking demo, hands-on food prep and shared meal. Take some time out with other parents dealing with similar food challenges and everyday stresses. Share ideas and learn new methods for caring for and feeding your family. The next workshop is called, "Smoothie Soothe-ie" and is scheduled for July 9, 4-6pm. More information can be found by visiting http://ccetompkins.org/events/2016/07/09/smoothie-soothe-ie-workshop |
