We’re excited to announce that beginning Sunday, July 10, all Ithaca College faculty and staff will receive IC Current, a new email newsletter containing the latest news and information about the IC community. IC Current will initially be sent every two weeks on Sunday, though the frequency may change in the fall as we adjust to the flow of content and adapt to our audiences’ needs. Students will begin receiving the newsletter at the start of the fall semester, and alumni and any interested parties will be able to subscribe towards the end of 2016. The newsletter contains six sections:
The newsletter is designed to be short, to the point, and easy to read on your mobile phones. Content is selected and curated by the Office of Strategic Marketing Communications. You can learn more about IC Current on the Media Relations website. Enjoy!

Hi lhatch. The Current will initially be sent to faculty
and staff, and students will be added in the fall. Later this year we will make it available for the general public, including alumni and retirees. There will be a sign-up on ithaca.edu/news once it is available to all. Announcing IC Current Comment from

If this contains the 'latest news and information about the IC community,' why does the 'Latest News" section omit staff news - only faculty and students are listed. Or was that an oversight.

Each newsletter will feature around three news stories and the subject matter of
those stories will vary each week. Sometimes faculty, staff, students, and/or alumni will be featured. By keeping it to a small number of stories, we hope to keep readership levels high. Intercom will continue to exist as a place for faculty, staff, and students to submit their news and announcements. Announcing IC Current Comment from

Intercom will continue to exist as an outlet for faculty, staff, and students to post
their announcements and updates. The IC Current newsletter will highlight around three news stories in each issue. The stories will by syndicated from the college's magazines, social media channels, news site, and other publications. |
