Just a reminder that Matt Tenan, PhD., IC alum and neurophysiologist, will be on campus Friday, July 15 at 12 noon in CHS 304 giving a talk on Models of Human Adaption: Using Stochastic Noise to Reduce Tremor and Increase End Effector Stability in Human Movement

The short lecture will be followed by a demonstration of fine wire electromyography.  Dr. Tenan's work focuses on modifying the nervous system to remove tremor by stimulating the nervous system with sensory noise to reduce tremor in the hand.  There are many diverse applications of this work such as removing tremor from surgeons hands, steadying the hand of patients with tremor, and improving sports performance.

This event is free and open to the public.
