A recent position vacancy in General Services has resulted in a reorganization via workforce analysis and the elimination of a position.

This reorganization in both Mail Services and Print Production has provided the opportunity to create efficiencies while still providing a similar level of service to the campus. Beginning August 8, 2016 print orders will be delivered on the following schedule.

- All printed orders that are ready by the 9:00 am Mail Service delivery schedule, will be delivered to duplicating stops as they have been over the last fiscal year.

- All printed orders that are ready by 12:00 pm, will be delivered with the afternoon Mail Services Parcel deliveries to duplicating stops.  Previously, the cut off time for afternoon delivery was 2:30pm.

- All printed orders that are ready after 12:00 pm will be delivered the following morning on the 9:00 am Mail Services delivery run. As always, departments are able to pick-up their orders directly from the General Services building if necessary.

The staff in General Services has analyzed the turnaround time from when orders are placed to when deliveries are completed and we believe that this revised schedule will meet the needs of our campus.

In addition, Print Production will discontinue obtaining signatures on Print Production orders unless specifically requested by the department. Departments requiring signatures for delivery should place this request in the “special instructions” section in WebCRD.

The staff in the General Services will continue to evaluate the impacts of this reorganization and changes to the mail and print order delivery processes can be expected.
