Steven Ginsberg, Pendleton Chair/assistant professor, Dept. of Media Arts, Sciences, and Studies, and Stephen Tropiano, associate professor, Screen Studies, presented a paper entitled "Why Jane and Johnny Can (and Can't) Write in the Digital Age" at the University Film and Video Association's annual conference in August in Henderson, Nevada.

Prof. Ginsberg and Prof. Tropiano's paper examined the new challenges academics are currently facing trying to cultivate and evaluate media students' creative and academic writing abilities at a time when students' basic writing skills have sharply declined.
