Professor Gladys M. Varona-Lacey presented a conference paper at the XVIII Congreso Internacional de Literatura y Estudios Hispánicos (July 6-8) in San Sebastián, Spain. 

Her paper, entitled “Desplazamiento y exilio en La novela de mi vida” dealt with the theme of exile as presented in Leonardo Padura’s novel.
