The Handwerker Gallery will open our doors for the inaugural exhibition of the 2016-2017 school year on Wednesday, August 31.  SUN FLARE showcases gallery-funded student summer research and features paired solo shows with work by Dara Engler (Associate Professor, Art) and Nydia Blas (Southside Visual and Media Arts Director & IC Alumna 2010). Please partake in these exciting exhibitions by stopping in during our opening reception on Thursday for a look around and for a chance to meet the artists, or visiting the gallery at your leisure during our hours of operation (posted below). 

Both artists will formally speak about their work on display in the gallery later in September. Swing by the gallery to pick up one of our handy brochures which outline our exhibition and programming calendars, or check out our website and/or Facebook pages for updates:

All exhibitions and events at the Handwerker Gallery are free and open to the public.  The Handwerker Gallery is open Monday, Wednesday, & Friday from 10am-6pm; Thursdays from 10am-9pm; and Saturday & Sunday from 12pm-5pm.
