The 2016-2017 Diversity Awareness Committee Funding CycleContributed by Michelle Rios-Dominguez on 08/30/16 The Committee would like to encourage individuals or groups that would like to request sponsorship of events and activities focused on providing education and/or dialogue on diversity and inclusion related topics to apply for funding from the Diversity Awareness Committee. Our normal DAC funding cycle will continue until funds are exhausted, however, the committee will give priority to applications that best embodies the spirit of our committee’s mission.
The mission of the Diversity Awareness Committee (DAC) is to provide educational programs, training sessions, and experiential activities on issues of diversity relevant to our campus community and in our society. The Committee strives through these events to bring positive change to attitudes, values, and behavior. The Diversity Awareness Committee also provides funding and other types of support to groups and individuals that are engaged in providing a variety of activities designed to provide educational programs, training sessions, and experiential activities on issues of diversity relevant to our campus community.
