After Dinner Mint:  A Faculty Showcase

A Night at the Opera. Voice and instrumental faculty members will perform original and transcribed works from some of the world’s greatest operas. Included on the program will be selections from Puccini's Tosca & Pagliacci, Wagner’s Lohengrin & Der Fliegende Hollander, Bizet’s Carmen, Rossini’s Il barber di Siviglia, Mozart’s Cossi fan tutti, Delibes’ Lamke, and Gershwin’s Porgy & Bess.  Performing will be Erik Angerhofer, Diane Birr, Deborah Montgomery-Cove, Charis Dimaras, Carolyn Grossmann, Caitlin Mathes, Steven Mauk, Wendy Herbener Mehne, Paige Morgan, Dawn Pierce, Ivy Walz, Marc Webster, and Christopher Zemliauskas.

Choir and Women’s Chorale conducted by Janet Galvan
Chorus and Madrigal Singers conducted by Sean Linfors
Choir:  “At the Heart of Humanity” -- music of Chilcott, Esenvalds, Dello Joio, and Moses Hogan.  Women’s Chorale:  Nicola Porpora’s Magnificat.  Madrigals:  music of Parsons, Tomkins, Wilbye and Hoekman.  Chorus:  Brunner’s “I Am in Need of Music” plus music of Arnesen, Thomas, and Guillaume.  This concert will be webstreamed live at www.ithaca.edu/music/live.

Faculty Recital: Beethoven Violin Sonata Cycle I:  Calvin Wiersma, violin
