Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist Meghan Musnicki will return to her roots at Ithaca College from September 27 - October 1 as an Olympic Champion in Residence.  Musnicki, will host a speaking event on campus at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the Hockett Family Recital Hall inside the James J Whalen Center for Music.  The event is free and open to the public. 

Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist Meghan Musnicki will return to her roots at Ithaca College from September 27th - October 1st as an Olympic Champion in Residence.  Musnicki, who recently won her second Olympic gold medal in rowing as part of the women's eight in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, will host a forum at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27 in the Hockett Family Recital Hall inside the James J Whalen Center for Music.  The event is free and open to the public.  Musnicki, a 2005 graduate of Ithaca College, will also lead a functional training session for student-athletes at 12 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon in the Athletic and Events Center's Glazer Arena.

Musnicki, who was a member of the United States national team from 2010-2015, is one of the most decorated rowers in the sport today having earned 18 medals in international competition including 12 gold medals.  Prior to her Olympic victory in August, the Naples, N.Y. native won gold at the 2016 World Rowing Cup II and has guided the United States to five gold medals at the World Rowing Championships.

An inductee into the Ithaca College Athletics Hall of Fame, Musnicki earned First-Team All-America honors as a senior and helped guide the Bombers to back-to-back national championships from 2004-2005.
