Planning to see Ithaca College’s production of "Blood Wedding," but want to know more about the play and our production process? Please join our production dramaturgs and guest speakers for a pre-show discussion on October 5th at 7:15pm or on October 8th at 1:15pm. Both discussions will be held in Dillingham Center in the upper lobby. Since its first production in 1933, "Blood Wedding" has been intriguing audiences with its themes of love and desire, vengeance, and societal law. The play itself was even banned during the reign of Spain’s dictator, Francisco Franco. Come and learn about the polarizing nature of this piece, its relationship with the surrealist movement, and the life of its playwright, Federico Garcia Lorca. Still do not have a ticket to see the show? There is still time! Purchase your tickets as soon as possible. Tickets are currently available online at Ithaca.ticketforce.com. You may call or visit the Dillingham Center Box Office Monday-Thursday, noon-5 p.m.; and Friday noon-4 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased over the phone at (607) 274-3224. Ticket prices range from $8 to $16. “Blood Wedding” will be performed on Sept. 29 and 30, October 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8th at 8 p.m., as well as on Oct. 2 and 8th at 2 p.m. For more information, visit ithaca.edu/mainstage Follow Ithaca College Theatre on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ICTheatreArts and on Twitter and Instagram at @ICTheatreArts.
