Join us as we showcase delicious, plant-based culinary creations to celebrate Meatless Monday! Our goal this years is to increase plant-based consumption by 10% to health and well-being as well as lowering our carbon footprint on campus.

WHO: Guest Chef Wanda White CEPC, Executive Chef, Humane Society of the United States and Stephanie Heath-Higgins, Food Policy Coordinator—Upstate New York, Humane Society of the United States will be on campus to prepare, share and communicate the benefits of eating a plant-based diet, alongside our own chefs.  

WHAT: Ithaca Dining Services partners with, our guests, The Humane Society of the United States to present plant-based dining events on campus. Dining chefs, in conjunction with Executive Chef Wanda White of the Humane Society will prepare and present innovative plant-based and vegan dishes to the IC community. The Humane Society will elaborate on how partnerships like ours help to meet the ever-increasing demand for meat-free menu items, transforming dining operations to be healthier and more sustainable.

WHERE: Campus Center Dining Hall, IC Square Food Court and Terrace Dining Hall

WHEN: It’s Meatless Monday! Monday, October 3rd, 2016

  • 12pm—2pm: Campus Center Dining Hall at the Vegan Station 
  • 2pm—3:30pm: IC Square/Stage Join us for some delicious FREE samples. 
  • 5pm—8pm: Terrace Dining Hall at the Food Lab 

In August 2016, The Humane Society of the US', Executive Chef Wanda White, conducted a day-long culinary training session at Campus Center dining hall with IC Dining chefs, preparing and sampling a wide variety of plant-based recipes. Excited by the depth of our plant-based commitment already in play on campus, the Humane Society is teaming up with Ithaca Dining Services to showcase a day of plant-based dining events aimed to elevate awareness and enjoyment.
