A group of alumni who wish to honor the memory of Anthony Nazaire '19 have joined forces to create a scholarship in his memory.

Anthony — a sophomore in the School of Business who was the victim of a homicide August 28 on the Cornell University campus — had already established himself as a motivated student and respected leader on campus through his work with Brothers 4 Brothers and other organizations.

The Anthony Nazaire '19 Endowed Scholarship will be awarded to outstanding African American, Latino, Asian American, or Native American (ALANA) students in the School of Business who demonstrate service, leadership, or achievement. Financial need is required.

The alumni who created this scholarship were deeply saddened by Anthonys' death and hope that this scholarship will carry on his legacy in a way that helps future students obtain an IC education.  If you would like more information about this alumni-driven effort, please do not hesitate to contact me at jgabriel@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1397.
