Please join us for a talk about The Ithaca College Integrated Outdoor Learning Environment and Naked-Eye Observatory with Professor Matthew Price, Ithaca College Department of Physics & Astronomy

I will be presenting the concepts behind the Ithaca College Integrated Outdoor Learning Environment and Naked-Eye Observatory. The concept for a modern Naked-Eye Observatory was introduced at Middle-Tennessee State University and the “Uranidrome”. We are proposing a multi-functional integrated learning environment that could be used by the IC community as a non-traditional outdoor classroom, an outdoor performance space, a Naked-Eye Observatory, or some other novel use.

Dr. Price is an Assistant Professor in the Ithaca College Department of Physics and Astronomy. He studies how to teach students in non-traditional classroom settings.
