Peter Silberman, associate professor of music theory in the School of Music, has published a review of two recent undergraduate music theory textbooks.

Silberman reviewed The Concise Introduction to Tonal Harmony by L. Poundie Burstein and Joseph Straus, and the 3rd edition of The Musician's Guide to Theory and Analysis by Jane Clendinning and Elizabeth West Marvin.  Both books are published by W.W. Norton.  Silberman's review, entitled "New From Norton:  Two Undergraduate Theory Textbooks," was published in volume 56 of the College Music Symposium.
