Please join The Park School of Communications and The Studio for an advance screening of Desolation, directed by Sam Patton '12 on Friday, October 21 at 4pm in the Park Auditorium.

Desolation (2016) - A mother takes her son on a trip into the remote wilderness to scatter his father's ashes; they must confront their fears when a lone hiker begin to follow them.

About the filmmaker:

Sam Patton graduated from the Park School in 2012 and began his career at the micro-budget hit factory Blumhouse Productions. He has worked on films such as The Purge, Sinister 2, and The Call. This year, he worked on Amazon's Transparent, a Bollywood film, and a Netflix indie film with Michael Cera. He is about to join the union as a Production Accountant, and is developing a payroll and accounting software for independent filmmakers. His short "The Terms of Service" won Best Film at the Omaha Film Festival, and screened at several others. He just finished post on his first feature film as Director and Producer, the micro-budget horror/thriller "Desolation". He won the Golden Doorknobs twice as an undergrad, and still feels the need to brag about it all the time.
