Vincent Wei-cheng Wang, Dean of the School of Humanities and Sciences and Professor of Politics, featured for work on U.S.-Taiwan relations and Obama's foreign policy pivot to Asia.

Wang recently published an article, “Prospects for U.S.-Taiwan Relations (Under the New Administration),” in Orbis: A Journal of World Affairs, 60(4)(Fall 2016): 575-591. He also presented a paper, “Reconciliation without Convergence? Theorizing Taiwan-China Relations,” at the 2016 Annual Meeting of the American Political Science Association, Philadelphia, PA, 1-4 September 2016.

Wang was also interviewed by The Global Journalist program of the NPR station in Missouri on October 6 for “Grading Obama’s Asia Pivot” and The New York Times on September 22, for a story entitled “Sidelined at the U.N., a Frustrated Taiwan Presses On.”
