On Monday 10/17 at 6PM, Tom Gitterman (’90) will offer an “Inside Look at the Business of Art” in a public lecture. After graduating from Ithaca College with a major in art history and a minor in art, Gitterman went to work in the commercial gallery world of New York City. Eventually, he opened his own gallery in midtown Manhattan. Gitterman Gallery specializes in selling mid-twentieth century art photography. He will speak about the business of art and the place of the commercial art gallery within the art world.
