Asma Barlas publishes lead essay on Feminism and Islam in Journal of Feminist Studies in ReligionContributed by Peyi Soyinka-Airewele on 10/17/16 Asma Barlas, professor of Politics, has published the lead essay for a round table on Feminism and Islam in the current Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion (Fall, 2016). The essay, "Secular and Feminist Critiques of the Qur'an: Anti-hermeneutics as Liberation?" has six respondents with a short rejoinder from Barlas.
