Asma Barlas, professor of Politics, has published the lead essay for a round table on Feminism and Islam in the current Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion (Fall, 2016).  The essay, "Secular and Feminist Critiques of the Qur'an: Anti-hermeneutics as Liberation?" has six respondents with a short rejoinder from Barlas. The Journal can be accessed here: https://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2979/jfemistudreli.32.issue-2
