Submitted on behalf of Dr. Roger Richardson & Dr. Brian Dickens Dear Faculty, Staff and Students - The safety and security of the Ithaca College community is a top priority for the College. As we continuously strive to enhance our policies and programs related to campus security, it is helpful to periodically conduct objective assessments of our initiatives to help us to understand how we may further address the safety of our community. I wanted to inform you that we have retained Margolis Healy, a nationally recognized campus safety and security consulting firm to lead a comprehensive, external assessment of the Ithaca College Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management. Through this assessment, we hope to further identify ways to enhance campus security and improve upon the Office’s strategy and practices. The team from Margolis Healy will be conducting their on-campus site visit from November 8-10, 2016. In order to ensure that each of you have an opportunity to share your thoughts, insights and suggestions related to campus safety and security, Margolis Healy will be holding an open forum hours campus at the followings dates and times during their visit: • Faculty & Staff Forum: Thursday, November 10, 2016 12:00 pm – 1:05 pm in Emerson Suite B located in the Campus Center
• Student Forum: Tuesday, November 8, 2016 12:00 pm – 1:05 pm in Emerson Suite B located in the Campus Center If you are unable to attend the drop-in sessions or if you would prefer to share your feedback directly with Margolis Healy, you may send your comments anonymously through a Google Form by clicking on the link here. The Google Form is currently open and accepting submissions, and will be closed on Friday, November 18, 2016. We welcome you to submit any feedback within the Form’s general comment box. We greatly appreciate your continued support and contributions in making our campus a safe community for all. |
