Call for Student Nominations for the Alumni Association BoardContributed by Chris Pollock on 11/15/16 Submitted on behalf of Carrie Cadwell Brown, executive director of alumni relations The Ithaca College Alumni Association Board of Directors includes two student members who serve two-year terms. One of these student members serves as a liaison between the Student Governance Council (SGC) and the alumni association board. We need your help to nominate someone you know (or yourself!) to serve in this capacity on the alumni association board. Student directors are full members of the alumni association board. They serve on committees and work on projects related to the board's efforts to get alumni and students more involved with IC and with one another. They also provide a valuable student perspective to IC's alumni community. This student director, specifically, will attend both SGC and alumni association board meetings, and update both the SGC and the alumni association board on projects and initiatives that each body is working on. Because this is a two-year term, we're looking for students from the classes of 2019 and 2020. The term starts in May 2017. Interested? The deadline for nominations is January 31, 2017. So nominate yourself, a friend, or a worthy peer and do something good for your IC community! Nominations will be taken online only, at http://alumni.ithaca.edu/studentdirector. When you fill out the form, you'll need to upload the nominee's resume, along with a letter of intent that expresses the nominee's interest and qualifications for serving on the alumni association board. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the Office of Alumni Relations, at (607) 274-3194 or alumni@ithaca.edu. Thank you, Carrie Cadwell Brown |
