Karin Wikoff, Electronic and Technical Services Librarian, presented: "Budgeting in an Academic Library" at the Charleston Conference in South Carolina on November 3.

As part of an on-going study, Ms. Wikoff has met with the people who manage the budget at a number of academic libraries across the country as she seeks best practices and tips that can be shared across institutions. At Charleston, she presented the data gathered so far, then opened the floor for a very lively discussion among attendees. As a result, she will be having one-on-one follow-up conversations with volunteers from several more libraries.
