Two sections of  ARTH24000 Architecture Since 1800 are open for enrollment.  The course is newly designated to serve the CA perspective of the Identities theme.  The sections are offered TR at 10:50 and 2:35.

PREREQUISITES: Sophomore standing. 
STUDENTS: All interested students are welcome. 
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is a selective overview of the development of architectural modernism from the late eighteenth century to the present that includes a discussion of radical cultural, political, and economic developments, new conceptualizations of history, technological developments, and novel written and built architectural vocabularies. We will pay particular attention to modernism as a global phenomenon spanning “western” and “non-western” contexts.
COURSE FORMAT/STYLE: Illustrated lectures and discussions. 
COURSE REQUIREMENTS & GRADING: Exams and written assignments. Regular attendance and participation in discussion is required. Grading based on written work and class participation.
