The Department of Writing's student-edited journal of art and literature, Stillwater Magazine, wants you to submit your best work to be considered for its upcoming spring issue and web site. 

Submitting is easy. Just email your work as a file attachment to stillwatermagazine@gmail.com by February 24th. Here are the writers' guidelines:

• Fiction and Nonfiction submissions must be limited to 2,000 words.
• Poetry submissions should contain a maximum of 3 poems.
• Photograph, Visual Art, or Mixed-media (video essays, etc.) should be submitted in the appropriate high-resolution format.

In order for your submission to be considered, make sure to  

• Put your last name and genre in the email subject header (ex: "Updike / Fiction")
• Provide your preferred means of contact.

So use this upcoming break to craft a work of writing or art that matters -- or that's just fun -- and fire it off to Stillwater Magazine's editors at stillwatermagazine@gmail.com by the February 24 deadline.
