Group that will integrate learned skills and processing to achieve effective and healthy solutions; for students from the African Diaspora.

Process your thoughts, feelings, ideas, and experiences (personally, academically, and professionally), as a person from the African Diaspora, while focusing on healthy solutions and integrating the following learned skills: distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness. Ms.Jacque Tara Washington, LCSW-R, facilitator, is a social worker in Counseling and Psychological Services here at Ithaca College. As a mental health therapist, Jacque has taught these dialectical behavioral skills for almost 10 years in individual and group settings. Starting 2.1.17 and ending 5.3.17; Wednesdays, 3-4:30 pm; 90 minutes in length.
