Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility Adapted for the Stage by IC alumnaContributed by Greg Bostwick on 12/11/16 Ithaca College Theatre Arts alumna Kate Hamill (BFA ’05) has written a very successful stage adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel Sense and Sensibility that has performed widely to positive acclaim. Here is your chance to see scenes from the play performed by BFA performance majors in the IC Department of Theatre Arts. Follow the exploits of the Dashwood family as they adapt to their reduced circumstances in the wake of the death of the family’s patriarch. Observe how hearts are awakened, broken and mended again as originally depicted by the inimitable Jane Austen and dramatized by the impressive Kate Hamill. This presentation is free and open to the public at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday December 13 in the Clark Theatre of Dillingham Center. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Greg Bostwick at gbostwick@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3794. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
