Gerontology Associate Professor Elizabeth Bergman Re-Elected as AGHE Member-at-LargeContributed by Teri Reinemann on 12/13/16
The Association for Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE) is a membership organization of colleges and universities that offer education, training, and research programs in the field of aging. AGHE currently has more than 160 institutional members throughout the United States, Canada, and abroad. AGHE’s mission is two-fold: (1) To advance gerontology and geriatrics education in academic institutions; and (2) To provide leadership and support of gerontology and geriatrics education faculty and students at education institutions. In addition to serving as a Member-at-Large, Bergman also edits the AGHExchange, AGHE’s quarterly newsletter which seeks to disseminate resources and information about gerontology and geriatrics education and promote the activities of AGHE members.
Professor Bergman joined the Ithaca College Gerontology Institute in 2008. Her research focuses on palliative and end-of-life care. The Ithaca College Major in Aging Studies is a recognized AGHE Program of Merit. |
