Most devices should easily be able to connect to the new networks by simply choosing them from the list of available networks and entering valid Netpass credentials (if prompted). However, the exact steps will vary depending on the type of device and whether it is a personal or College device. The information below is specifically for connecting to the IthacaCollege secure wireless network, as community members generally should not need to connect to the guest network. College Windows Laptops College Windows laptops should automatically connect to the IthacaCollege secure network. College Mac Laptops On College Mac Laptops you will need to manually connect to IthacaCollege by choosing it from the Wi-Fi network list. You should also go to your list of wireless networks and move IthacaCollege to the top of the preferred networks list. Personal Devices On personal devices such as Mac and Windows laptops, tablets, iPhones and Android phones, simply choose the IthacaCollege network from the list of available networks and enter valid Netpass credentials. The My-ResNet wireless network is not impacted by these changes, and users of that network will not need to make any changes to their devices. For detailed instructions for connecting from different devices see: IC Wireless Network Connection Information. Should you encounter any problems using the new networks, please stop by the Service Desk for assistance. Service Desk |
