The time is here! MLK Week 2017 kicks off next week (January 23-28, 2017) as students return to campus and begin spring classes. Below is a reminder of our full schedule. This year, we will be examining the theme “The Ultimate Weakness of Violence” through a variety of engaging and informative events.

Monday (1/23):

  • Kick-Off Campaign - All Day in the North Foyer, Campus Center
  • Concert Celebrating Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. – 7:30PM in Ford Hall, Whalen Center

Tuesday (1/24):

  • Educational Workshops – 12PM in Clark & Klingenstein Lounges, Campus Center
  • Keynote Speaker – 4PM in Emerson Suites, Campus Center

Wednesday (1/25):

  • Civil Right Tour Presentation– 4PM in Emerson Suites, Campus Center
  • Film & Discussion – 7PM in Emerson Suites, Campus Center

Thursday (1/26):

  • Educational Workshops – 12PM in Clark & Klingenstein Lounges, Campus Center
  • Educational Workshops – 6PM in Clark & Klingenstein Lounges, Campus Center
  • Performance Keynote - Storyboard P – 7:30PM in Clark Theatre, Dillingham Center

Saturday (1/28) – MLK Day of Service 2017 (Sign Up HERE)

This year's theme is "The Ultimate Weakness of Violence" which is a concept taken from Rev. Dr. King's last book, "Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community?"
